Create a free Google API key so the app can read text from photos.

Create a Google Cloud Project
Name it anything, then click Create

Enable the Vision API
Click the blue Enable button

Create & Restrict an API Key
Click + Create Credentials → API key. Then restrict it — see video and screenshot below.
Email the key to yourself as a backup.
